Business Rates – 100% relief for retailers for 1 financial year!

Following the Chancellor’s delivery of his first budget, it was good to hear that business rates for retailers, including restaurants, cinemas & music venues in England with a rateable value below £51,000 are receiving 100% exemption for a year.🙌

This tax break will save businesses thousands, and with the world affected by Coronavirus, we hope this saving will also save some businesses going out of business👛🛍️

With regard to pubs ( rateable value below £100,000), the government had previously committed to introducing a £1,000 business rate discount, this will now increase to £5,000. 🙌
