We were delighted to be able to assist Motiv8, who are a local charity giving the young people of Portsmouth support and opportunities.
Clare Ansell, the Chief Executive for the charity is one of the Portsmouth Property Association (PPA) Charities, and this year they had managed to find an office premises that would suit their charity base of operations and hub for the young people they support. Through connections with the PPA as well as networking events, Sau-Wan Lai was able to offer assistance by way of a RICS Valuation of the market rental which allows the charity to comply for regulatory purposes under section 119 of the Charities Act 2011.

As a member of the Portsmouth Property Association, we are here to serve the local community, and enjoy being part of a group of like-minded businesses and as a not-for-profit organisation, there is the charitable side. The PPA are able to donate funds to the nominated charities from events that they hold and encourage members to support the charities, through raising awareness, fundraising, or simply attending PPA events, where the surplus after expenses, go towards the charities fund.
