Expansion of Jewellery business following renewed lease in Waterlooville

Wheeler & Lai Chartered Surveyors acted on behalf of tenant Lionel Webb of Amberley Jewellers in securing a lease renewal in Waterlooville & new premises in Hythe.

Lionel Webb of Amberley Jewellers is thrilled to announce that he will be opening a second shop in the popular coastal town of Hythe, New Forest, following the successful negotiation by Wheeler & Lai Chartered Surveyors on this new lease, following the renewal of the lease in Waterlooville town centre.

Amberley Jewellers who are a long established business in the heart of Waterlooville, trading since 1993 has renewed their commitment to the town and it’s High Street, with a new 5 year lease, with their landlord QuestMap, who acquired Wellington Way in July 2022.  Amberley Jewellers were keen to remain in the High Street, and continue to serve the people of Waterlooville and surrounding towns, and thanks the community for their continued support.

Lionel Webb engaged Sau-Wan Lai, of Wheeler & Lai Chartered Surveyors to negotiate the lease renewal and subsequently asked the firm to acquire the new site in Marsh Parade, Hythe for an expansion of the business.  Sau-Wan said “We were delighted to be able to assist Lionel again, and secure a new double unit on Marsh Parade, a busy location close to Hythe Pier.  We were able to act swiftly and quickly for our client, but also respond efficiently to the proposed landlord who were keen to progress once initial interest was made”.

Wheeler & Lai Chartered Surveyors have been pleased to work with Lionel in Waterlooville, as we also have several agency instructions with properties either currently under offer or recently let, with the letting of Unit 9 The Clock House and interest in the former Peacocks at 286-288 London Road, Waterlooville.

Lionel Webb is looking forward to the grand opening of his new shop in 10-11 Marsh Parade, Hythe “We would like to thank Sau-Wan for dealing with Hythe with speed and efficiency, as she kept my up to date and responded quickly to questions, moving this along so we could be in before December”.   Watch out for details on the opening in Hythe, or for more information –www.amberleyjewellers.co.uk/

Wheeler & Lai Chartered Surveyors are pleased to support local businesses, and wishes Amberley Jewellers a thriving and successful December in both Shops and for the next 5 years at least of the new leases!  Contact us if you require our Lease advisory service.
