Sau-Wan, one of our Directors, is also on the Portsmouth Property Association Committee, and under this role she was kindly invited to attend this prestigious South Coast Property Awards 2023 at the Hilton at the Ageas Bowl, alongside the PPA Chair, Iain Morrison who was one of the independent judges. The awards run by The Business Magazine / Black Ox publishing, and this year’s main sponsor was Amiri.
Here is her rundown of events, and the winners of the categorises are announced below too for your interest and enjoyment.
The Hilton at the Ageas is a fantastic venue, and the event was held in the ballroom, with a champagne reception and soft drinks, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, especially with the heat of the day! There were over 36 tables of 10, so a lot of attendees.
It was fantastic to speak with local contacts, some nominees in the categories, and wishing them luck.
The event kicked off at 7pm, with Hal Cruttenden, comedian and presenter, who was a brilliant compare and his humour was cutting and sharp, and dealing with an unruly table or two, we take our hats off to you. Great welcome from Richard of the Business Magazine, and speech by the chosen charity, Hannah’s Holiday Home Appeal which was moving and inspiring.
We enjoyed the starters and mains, and two thirds of the awards, it was a school night and we were unable to see the close of the awards; one had a boat to catch across the Solent, the other had some “Zzz’s” to catch. We did a Cinderella’s younger sister and departed before the desserts were brought out… very very saddened not to be able to eat what could have been delicious Sticky Toffee pudding if the starters and mains were anything to go by.
